How often should I clean my windows?
First impressions matter, and your windows do speak for your property, building, or business. Professional window cleaning gives a clean, refreshing look to your property, and therefore, your image. But how often should you hire professional window cleaning?
All businesses, medical centres, strata buildings and complexes want to reflect a clean, professional image. Whether you work in an office, run a restaurant or café, manage a strata building or medical centre, it is of foremost importance to have your windows professionally cleaned to maintain a neat appearance to your building.
If you neglect to do so, you will negatively impact your customers, attracting less and less.
Therefore, it is a good practice to include professional window cleaning as part of your budget. The recurrence of professional window cleaning varies depending on several factors such as weather conditions, pollution, traffic, environment, etc. Based on our experience, you should have the professional services of window cleaners in Brisbane every three to six months. Of course, our team will be happy to consider your situation and recommend the best frequency for window cleaning. Frequently doing professional cleaning will guarantee that your building will always look neat and clean, plus giving you a refreshingly clear view.
How do you clean windows?
Cleaning windows is one of the basics chores you do at home, but it is not simple to give a thorough and professional clean, quickly and efficiently. Here are some tips for cleaning your house windows that our team has learned over the years. The methods are different from the professional cleaning we do.
Windows Cleaning: The Inside Window
Prepare a bucket with clean, cold water.
Add liquid dish soap; a few drops should be enough.
Use a scrubber or a sponge to mix the water and the soap, then use it to wash the inside of the window. Do it from top to bottom, including the window frame.
Tip: Place a towel along the bottom of the window. Doing so will prevent getting anything else dirty.
Use a squeegee to dry a thin clean strip on each side of the window. Having a clean, dry strip will make it easier later for the horizontal stokes.
Use a clean, lint-free cotton rag or towel to dry your squeegee.
Start doing horizontal strokes with the squeegee. Remember to have a four centimetres overlap between each stoke.
Dry your squeegee after each stroke.
When completed, use a microfiber cloth to dry the corners and remaining water.
Windows Cleaning: The Outside Window
The outside of a window generally has more stains and dirt, and sometimes you can even find bird droppings. Therefore, a more vigorous clean is required.
If available, use a hose to rinse the window. You can also use a pressure washer if desired.
